Cádiz CF would like to make the following statement regarding the player Salvi Sánchez. Having undergone a PCR test yesterday in line with health and safety protocols, Sánchez has been confirmed as having tested positive for COVID-19. The player has given his permission for the publication of the result. The results of the PCR test were given at 22:00 (CET) on Tuesday. The player has been self-isolating since Monday afternoon and is asymptomatic.
The Cádiz squad underwent further medical tests on Tuesday with favourable results. The only outstanding matter was the PCR result for Salvi Sánchez, which was later confirmed as being positive.
