Cádiz CF and winery Bodegas Barbadillo will be partners for another three years, as they look to promote and spread the love for the club throughout Spain and beyond. The agreement was signed at the offices of the Estadio Ramón de Carranza by Manuel Vizcaíno, president of the club, and Victor Vélez, general manager of the winery, which is based in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
Under the agreement, Maestrante Semidulce, a locally produced wine will continue to wear the club’s blue and yellow, thanks to the close connection between the two venerable institutions.
With Maestrante Semidulce as the direct point of connection between the two, Bodegas Barbadillo will craft the club’s official wine for all fans and followers of Cádiz CF.
The signing ceremony finished on pitch at the stadium with the president of Cádiz presenting Barbadillo with a club shirt, with the name of the winery on it, while Barbadillo for their part had brought a bottle of wine with a special label, with the name of President Manuel Vizcaíno and all the players who achieved promotion to the top flight.

The special edition of Bodegas Barbadillo’s Maestrante will once again wear the blue and yellow of Cádiz CF this season. More than 36 bars and restaurants in the city of Cádiz and the province will take part in a very special prize draw between 23 October and 15 November on Twitter and Instagram.
It couldn’t be easier: fans - or indeed anyone who wants to take part - just has to ask for a bottle of ‘Maestrante Edición Cádiz’ in one of the participating establishments, post a photo of the bottle on their profile on Instagram or Twitter, whichever they prefer, and share it with the hashtag #MaestranteCadista, mentioning Bodegas Barbadillo and the bar or restaurant they are in. Participants must not have their profile locked and must be over 18. The images they post have to be theirs, ceding copyright.

Maestrante Semidulce is a young white wine from the Tierra de Cádiz denomination, made 100% of palomino fina grapes, from the Gibalbín and Santa Lucía vineyards, owned by Bodegas Barbadillo. It has become a standard bearer for both the company and the region, having been produced since 1992.
It’s a crisp, bright wine, with a pale yellow colour with hints of green, which, depending on the year, may tend to pale gold or deeper hues. It’s fragrant, young and fruity on the nose making it the perfect pairing for tapas, aperitifs and starters.
