ANTONY ‘CHOCO’ LOZANO GRANTED SPANISH NATIONALITY

Lozano, who was one of two non-EU squad members, will no longer occupy one of the first-team spots available to players from outside the European bloc

The Director General of Legal Security and Public Faith, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, has granted Spanish nationality to Antony Rubén Lozano Colón on grounds of residence, at the proposal of the Subdirectorate General of Nationality and Marital Status, which had ascertained that the player fulfils the legal requisites for citizenship.

Lozano must now appear at the Civil Registry to swear or promise allegiance to the King of Spain and obedience to the country’s constitution and laws, in accordance with article 23 of the Civil Code.
