3-1 | Defeat at Vallecas

Cádiz CF lost at Vallecas with the goals of Álvaro García, Falcao and Isi Palazón.

The game started with a lot of equality. The variety of approaches allowed Rayo to take the lead in a play between Trejo and Falcao on the back line. The Colombian's shot was blocked by Ledesma and Álvaro García pounced on it in the ninth minute to score the 1-0. An early goal that forced Álvaro Cervera's team to play with a disadvantage from the start of the match.

The cadista team didn’t give up and managed to approach the home goal and provoke set-pieces. In one of these set-pieces by Tomás Alarcón, Jonsson headed the cross to the far post for Haroyan to finish in front of Dimitrievski and put the 1-1 on the scoreboard.

Finishing the first half, a good play on the right flank led the local team to score the 2-1 when Falcao finished off Balliu's cross at the near post. Minutes later, the referee announced the way to the changing rooms with the Rayistas' victory on the scoreboard, giving way to a second half that started with a lot of intensity on the part of the locals, with Ledesma having to appear to save some shots from Isi and Radamel Falcao.

The yellow team attacked to achieve the draw on several attempts, with 'Pacha' Espino even sending a ball against the post with a header, but it was Isi Palazón who finished the game in the 88th minute, practically at the end. It was the definitive 3-1.
