1-1 | Rubén Alcaraz rescues a fair draw at the Ciutat

Cádiz CF had a great first half with numerous goal scoring chances

Cádiz CF played the second day of the league against Levante UD away. Paco López's team formed with: David Gil; Zaldua, Fali, Chust, Glauder, Iza; Sobrino, Alcaraz, Escalante, Brian Ocampo; Chris Ramos. Before the start of the match, a minute's silence was held in memory of the Levante players who died during the past year. In addition, several Olympic medalists were recognized before the match.

In the first minute of play, specifically after 30 seconds, Chris Ramos had a header to which the local goalkeeper responded on the goal line, sending the ball to a corner. In the corner kick Sobrino shot at the far post, but the local goalkeeper caught the ball very close to the top of the post.

Cádiz had control of the match, but in an isolated action that left Roger Brugué one-on-one with David Gil, the Madrid goalkeeper responded with a real save, making a great save down low.

Around the 20th minute, Cadiz CF responded again with two headers, one by Chris Ramos and the other by Rubén Alcaraz that went just wide. Cádiz CF loaded the area with crosses, especially from the right. Sobrino came with a run down the right, who ended up finishing, but was denied by Andres Fernandez.

Immediately after, Rubén Alcaraz unleashed a left-footed shot from distance, a shot that ended up hitting the side of the net. Cádiz CF did not cease in their attempt to reach the goal, with Sobrino unleashed on the right flank, leaving opponents behind. However, David Gil had to respond again to a new attempt by Brugué, once again saving the home side's goal.

Chris Ramos was on the run once again and unleashed a whipped shot, which was once again answered by Andres Fernandez, sending the ball to a corner.

Numerous chances to score were missed in the end. With five minutes left on the clock, the game went into halftime.

The second half started with no changes for either team. Glauder appeared as a savior in the 51st minute to deny Morales, who had already shot at goal. In the 56th, Carlos Álvarez set up a counter-attack that offered a ball into space to Brugué, whose first shot was denied by David Gil, but he was favored by the rejection and ended up scoring at will to put 1-0 on the scoreboard.

In the 66th minute, Ontiveros came on for Brian Ocampo and Alejo for Iza. Ten minutes later, De la Rosa came on for Sobrino.

In the 80th minute, Chris Ramos was brought down inside the area, and Cádiz CF was awarded a penalty. Rubén Alcaraz converted it, with an impeccable strike, putting the score at 1-1.

The match went back and forth in both areas, with David Gil once again saving the game in the 90th minute from a powerful Levante shot. With six minutes left in stoppage time, the game went into halftime.
